Chantai Finesse - Nominee for Author Award

Through writing, Chantai Finesse has been able to capture every role, thought, and dream for the purpose of sharing.

In spite of her quiet demeanor, her message of being intentional has allowed her to speak on several platforms, from the youth in congregations and schools, to a wider listening audience through radio, including Prayz Joynt (Joy 1250am), Big Band Panorama/Swing It (AM740) and The Finesse of Messianic Judaism (CJMR 1320am).

An avid believer of philanthropy, Chantai Finesse has never shied away from community service. In 2016 as a finalist of Top Model UK, she raised funds for Children with Cancer UK. In 2017 while pregnant, she launched “ShowHer” a community baby shower that also provided information from various ministries within Durham Region including Social Services and Health Services for young women, children and families alike. The donations benefitted Herizon House and WINGS Maternity Home.  She participated in Durham Rape Crisis Centre’s #WeBelieveYou video and their annual Steps for Survivors walk. She was selected as Durham’s Black Canadian Queen 2017 by the Diversity Advancement Network and in 2018 she raised donations to participate in Durham’s Habitat for Humanity Women in Power build.

While trying to overcome a period of depression after a series of events – homelessness, unplanned pregnancy, family conflict and rape, she began writing what was released as her first two books: TREASURED-A Kid’s Take on Self-Worth and Arizen Treasure through her company A Dash of Finesse & Co. (adof&co)

Her aim? To show others that anyone can be anything if they believe it’s possible.
